Iris Debonair draws inspiration from Charles Creed, a fifth-generation descendant of the Creed family, a visionary fashion designer and aesthete who defied convention at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. What began as a discipline becomes something even rarer: the precision of British tailoring finds its olfactory counterpart in the French art of fine perfumery. The same rigorous standards that once gave life to a perfect silhouette now form a distinctive olfactory signature.

Discovering the composition
For the first time, Maison Creed has combined two iconic olfactory families in a single fragrance: the "Fougère", which has always symbolised classic masculinity, and the "Floral", the language of femininity. The result is a unique expression of fine perfumery, characterised by a contemporary and universal approach.
Following a luminous note of bergamot, Creed’s distinctive signature, enriched with absinthe leaves, the finest English lavender reveals its freshness and aromatic notes. Perfected over twenty years by its grower to thrive in the chalky soils of Kent, this lavender grows slowly in the region’s cool climate, releasing an extraordinarily soft scent that adds an essence of pure refinement to the heart of Iris Debonair.
Deeper within the composition, the French Iris pallida, magnetic and irresistible, diffuses powdery nuances. This hidden treasure hails from the breathtaking landscapes of the Landes region in France, where the roots are meticulously cultivated for over three years before being refined through a process perfected over twelve years. The resulting exceptional concentration places Iris pallida amongst the most precious raw materials in perfumery.

"Iris Debonair", pronounced with a French accent, reflects the Maison’s vibrant Franco-British heritage in equal measure. Derived from the ancient French expression "de bon air", meaning "of good character and good stock", it is designed for those who are charming and self-assured without needing validation, just like the refined aesthetes who inspired this creation.

The Debonair look
The iconic bottle is made of light grey glass with a hint of iris. This colour palette is inspired by Charles Creed, who anticipated the casual-chic style by decades through his use of grey and blue fabrics, his favourite shades. A limited-edition travel spray, in the same delicate shade of iris and finished in leather, completes the experience.
